What is new in Walla Walla? Well a couple of things – If you have been out on West Rose, you see a lot of work going on in the old printer company/grocery store in the 1400 block, and I am excited to tell you it is a Tractor Supply Company. They are a great company and a wonderful addition to our valley. I haven’t heard a date for the opening, but they are definitely working full speed to prepare.

Willow Charter School getting ready to open. It will be great to have another alternative school for our children and parents to choose from. They are planning to be opening in August at the St. Pat’s School between Poplar and Alder. I think it will work well.

The two musicals are ready to start next weekend at the Power House Theater. First up is Annie. This is just a wonderful production. Tyson Kaup is directing again this year. The show will include local actors, musicians, and singers. You will love it! Following that will be a fun show I have fond memories of: “Nine to Five”. Again https://i0.wp.com/phtww.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Tyson-IG.jpgTyson is directing and we are bringing in some special talent to help from Seattle, to help make the show just jump. Go to the Power House website and get your tickets.

Walla Walla is jumping this year. I really enjoy watching the changes.

If I can help give me a call.

Image result for indian john hill traffic washingtonIt was a few weeks ago now – but my Father’s Day was great, and I hope yours was as well. I was in Seattle with my daughter Melanie, son Josh, and their special partners for dinner and nice conversation.  It was great!  Sunday we headed to a Mariners game and then back to Walla Walla. In Bellevue at 4:30 PM that Sunday it was 87 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Driving back was a breeze going east on 90, but the West 90 was bumper to bumper from West of the Summit to Indian John Hill. It was ugly!

Ulta and Bed Bath and Beyond are up and running with Hobby Lobby was the most recent to get rolling. This is exciting to watch.

Image result for sweet lou walla wallaOur famous Walla Walla Sweet Onions are out. The Arbini onions on Wallula Road are out and I think they are some of the best. Locati’s are great as well. Get your onions soon! I really enjoy cutting one in half, putting salt, pepper and butter on it and wrapping in foil to put on the grill or oven. It makes a wonderful addition to your Summer BBQ.
