Archive for March, 2010

Good morning.   Danger on the horizon.    Interest rates are moving and moving the wrong way for home buyers.    We saw a ¼ point change this last week and I feel more are on the way.   The federal reserve has depleted their funds to purchase mortgage backed securities which means we will have to move out into the free market which will force rates up.   We hope China and Europe will still invest, but who knows.   Maybe they are getting nervous as well about the state of economy and our debt structure.    We will have to see.

It would be my suggestion you stop in or call Bobbie Jo, our Coldwell Banker  Mortgage representative, to talk about a rate lock.   Our office is located at 218 W. Main (corner of 5th & Main) or you can reach Bobbie Jo at our office number (509) 525-0820.  She has the most effective programs available in Walla Walla that I am aware of.    If you are working with another lender give them a call to talk your options.  No matter who you choose for your lender,  if you are planning on purchasing a home start the process right away.    I feel Coldwell Banker Mortgage is good because you can lock up a rate without a purchase agreement.    I am not sure of all the details but talk with Bobbie Jo and she can help you make a solid decision.

We are very close to our grand opening of our new property management web site.    We are looking for its debut sometime in March.   It will be totally interactive and we feel it will make our communication process outstanding.   You will see more on it soon.

Each week will have a community event calendar in our Sunday ad.   If you have a nonprofit organization or an event which helps our community send an e-mail to Megan and she will contact you and discuss the submission.   You can reach Megan at meaton@cbfr.biz or (509) 525-0820.

The market is still good and solid.   First time homebuyers hurry because the deadline of April 30th is fast approaching.    You must be under contract on your new home purchase by April 30th to take advantage of this onetime tax event.   It may never happen again.

All is well.  Call if I can or any of my great associates can assist you.
