The Sweets are playing very well, and the Mariners are back to 500 – the King is back on the mound on Friday. The weather has been somewhat cool, but we are into the first week of summer and it is warming up this weekend. I love my early mornings, the longest day of the year was yesterday, the twenty first – and the sun was breaking at 4:30 this morning. I love it.

Real Estate inventories are still short. Finding a home has to be a quick decision. Make a good offer, and be pre-qualified by a lender before you start your search. I would suggest Tera Davis from Academy Mortgage, if you’re looking for a great lender!

Find a Realtor you trust and enjoy, and stick with them. Do not bounce around, because you will not get the service you need if you move from Broker to Broker.  Find one and stay with them.

My company entered a new phase of marketing with the start of TV promotions. The commercials are talking about our Brokers, the nonprofits we support, and the strength and knowledge of our Brokers. We have employed KVEW out of Tri-Cities to produce and display our promotions and their crews are real professionals.  They are 780 on the cable and channel 4, they are an ABC affiliate.

UntitledThe Power House Theater in conjunction with the City Library, the City, and the Exchange Club; are presenting the Red Badge Project with Tom Skerritt, retired Army Captain Evan Bailey, and with two of the founding members – Shawn Wong and Warren Etheredge. They will introduce the audience to a handful of Veterans who will share their personal stories on stage. Then they will share some of the exercises used to develop those stories. All proceeds go to the Red Badge Project, so please attend and support our Veterans. It is this Friday at the Power House, June 30th.

The pool is up and running full speed.  What a great addition to the community! And do not forget the Splash Pad at Washington Park, donated by our Great Rotary Club.

It is time to make a change in your home status with rates low and homes to look at.

Let me know if I can help.

May went by much too fast! It was somewhat cool, windy, and we had more rain. Spring in Walla Walla – it’s nothing new. Little League is almost complete, and the Sweets started the season with a sweep of the Wenatchee Apple Socks – Good job Sweets! I am ready for Sweets baseball, gardening, and fishing.

Image result for pinehurst north carolinaDonna and I traveled to North Carolina to share time with my son and his family near the end of the month. It was fun celebrating my 69th birthday with them and reading the nice notes they wrote to their grandpa Dennis. I have three grandchildren, Haley, 17, Audrey, 15, and Joe, 13. All with separate personalities.

Weather in North Carolina was hot and humid. The temperature in the upper 80’s and humidity in the middle 70’s. I did sweat a lot and drank a lot of water.  It’s a beautiful area with trees, lakes, and rivers everywhere, but I still love my Walla Walla.

Image result for rising real estate inventoryReal Estate was strong while I was gone. Inventories jumped to some degree, but did not solve our issue yet. We did see 117 new residential listings enter the market in Walla Walla and College Place. We have almost 300 total residential listings in the MLS but 80 plus are under contact. Homes priced well, in a comfortable location, and neat and clean sell rapidly.  It is time to look at selling if it is in your plan for 2017.

Interest rates are back down and they seem steady. If you are just starting to look, contact Tera Davis at Academy Mortgage (at her location in our office or on 3rd Street) to get pre-qualified before you start your search.

All is well in Walla Walla, and summer is going to start at some point.

If I can assist give me a call.
