Archive for December, 2010

It is one of my favorite holidays.   I am fortunate to be flying down to the San Diego area and spending a week with all my children and grandchildren.   I hope the weather is warm enough to golf a couple of times.    I haven’t been out golfing for over a couple of months.

We will be completing our Real Estate year in just a couple of weeks and I want to thank all the Walla Walla Families that have allowed us to assist them in the purchase or sale of their homes or real estate investments.   We work hard to make the process go smoothly and professionally and we hope you will call us again in 2011 if you need assistance with any real estate or property management needs.

Thank you to all my great staff for the work they put in to make the office what is today, the #1 Real Estate Company in Walla Walla.

Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

The Christmas Light Parade and Winter Barrel Tasting, what a wonderful weekend, the first weekend in December.   We set up our curb side reception with cookies, hot cocoa, coffee, cider, candy, and bags for the kids to fill from the bounty thrown from the parade floats.    We always have a great turnout.    The kids love the sacks and the hot cocoa with several cookies and candy canes.   We always have over 100 people attend.   Look at our photos of people at our curb side.    Lots of cookies and hot cocoa consumed during the couple of hours watching the parade.   It was my understanding there were over 67 entries in the light parade.   It was a beautiful event for downtown Walla Walla.

We saw a good closing month for a November.   The Walla Walla and College Place area closed 40 homes in November which is a very good month for a November.    We had a great month at Coldwell Banker First Realtors again with 38 of the 80 closed sides.   Sides I am sure is confusing to most but each sale represents two sides, the selling side and the listing side.   It is a Realtor counting process we use to track on production levels and with the 38 sides we had 48% of the market for November.    I am so proud of my selling organization with the professional and integrity they show in all the work they perform.

Walla Walla hit the news again.    We were listed on the NBC show as the cute little secret in the wine industry.    We are the new location for wine enthusiasts rather than Napa Valley.   Also, we were a big part of the Wine Spectator in their huge display of Washington wines.   Congratulations to our wine industry.   Hard work does pay off.

I was able to attend the wonderful dinner offered by Robinson Ranch Cellars showcasing their wines which are just stunning and the food, out of this world.   Was fun to talk with people I have not seen in months and find out what is going on in their lives.

Keep warm and cozy and drive safe out there.
