Archive for May, 2010

Big weekend for Walla Walla with Whitman College Graduation and all the families and friends walking our streets and eating in our restaurants, it was really busy.   The weather is still  cold and chilly but with the sun peaking out during the day.  Wind in the morning and early afternoon, typical cool Walla Walla spring days.

Great news from our corporate headquarters in New Jersey where it was announced Coldwell Banker First Realtors was rated number ten in gross commissions closed for April of 2010.     We competed against 402 other offices in North America in our category, office size of 20-30 agents.    It really shows me how good the sales staff is here at Coldwell Banker First Realtors.    I congratulate my staff and the support group which allowed that type of production to take place.    We are still looking for a great spring and summer.

We have been working on a complete overhaul of our front landscape.   I have to extend my sincere thanks to Merrikay Locati and her husband Ron for all their help.   My wife Donna has been the driving force to get all the pieces in the puzzle complete and we are hoping for a June 3 completion.  We look forward to show it off.

Our new affiliation with the Home Loan Center is working out great.   Tim Applebee and his staff work onsite here at Coldwell Banker First Realtors assisting my associates with their client’s questions and needs for their home loan issues.    It has and will be a good working relationship.  Stop in and meet the Home Loan Center team at Coldwell Banker First Realtors.  We are working to put their personal profiles on our website coldwellbankerfirstrealtors.com.

We had 23,000 page views last month on our site from 21 different countries.   You will find the site full of information.   Look at our tour of Walla Walla. Tell you’re out of town family and friends to peak at it.    It will give them a wonderful picture of where you live.

Thanks again for your time.   Call if I can assist.

It’s hard to believe it is May with the cold weather, wind, and rain.    We are looking forward to warmer days and time in the garden.

First time homebuyer program has ran its course along with the move up and down tax incentives.    What do we do next?    Most companies do not have a plan but at Coldwell Banker we do.     See the attached news interview with our President and CEO, Jim Gillespie.  We will be working with our sellers to keep the market moving.   When homes are selling the local economy will be strong.  Jim Gillespie’s interview on Fox Business

What an April we had in sales.    Last year in April we wrote 37 transactions but this April it went off the charts with 55 written transactions and we feel May will be just as strong.     People are feeling better about making a change in housing and in the economy as a whole.    My associates are as busy as they have been for months and look forward to a strong finish to our spring and summer real estate activity.     If you have been thinking about making a change talk with one of my fine associates and determine if the time is right for you.    They are great at answering your questions and listening to your needs.

Another new feature of service from Coldwell Banker First Realtors is our new property management interactive web site.    Applications, notices, and all features are available on line as well as all of our available rentals. I do not know of another property management site that offers all we have on line.    It is great for tenant inquiries and owners.    We see most of our inquiries are from our website or our signs.    The students looking to rent for next year have been taking full advantage!  We are moving more and more away from printed ads.   Take a second and go on line to review our exciting new site http://www.wallawallarentals.biz/

Thanks again for your time.   If I can assist in any way or my company give me a call.
