What great Fall weather, crisp in the morning and in the low 70’s during the day. Dew is on the lawn again and we are wrapping up the garden, I’ll be hard at it again this weekend – I love my garden.
Our “Mutts on Main” dog adoption event was a great success again this year. We had three pups adopted during the parade and one of my staff members selected a cute little dog that her husband and she just love. They had just lost a wonderful family dog just recently and I feel this was part of the healing process.
Real Estate is still solid. I did some research on the number of families moving to our area from out of area locations and we found in our closings it represented about 33% of the total. I found that information across the board on the MLS was not really correct because some offices were using Dayton, Waitsburg, Touchet, and Milton as “out of area”. I feel they are still in our valley and would not place them as an out of area sale. I did not realize it would be that significant a number.. But people are discovering the Walla Walla Valley, and I feel it will continue.
Also, I talked with Jim German and the opening of the new Pastime “Passatempo Taverna”, is less than two weeks away. He has had some soft opening for family and contractors and I talked to one and they indicated the food was really great. I cannot wait to cross the street and meet my lovely wife, Donna, to have a wonderful meal.
Weather has been wonderful but I see where it is going to cool down and we will have rain. That is part of fall weather in Walla Walla.
Call if I can assist. If you are looking at making a real estate purchase, talk with your lender – the talk is that rates are going up.
